A few years ago while studying fashion design, We were assigned a task to look at innovative textiles and fibres. One of the fibres chosen was bamboo. I was amazed at the Advantages it gave opposed to something as commonly used as cotton.
Here's a great website listing the advantages of bamboo for both environmental purposes and use as a textile. I just think if you can help it, Wear bamboo!
