Brisbane Entartete Kunst

All was quiet at Burleigh Heads at 1 o'clock in the morning on the second day of August. Only the howl of the wind present. A perfect night for mischief.

Entartete Kunst, a German term meaning Degenerate Art used by the Nazi regime to describe all modern art. Entartete Kunst also being the title of an exhibition, organised by the Nazis . Designed to give modern art a negative stigma. To find out more go to http://www.olinda.com/ArtAndIdeas/lectures/ArtWeDontLike/entarteteKunst.htm

As history seems to repeat itself every now and then, we're seeing street art being labelled as vandalism by Campbell Newman and the LNP in Queensland. A group of artists in the Brisbane and Gold Coast area are coming together to show that there is a HUGE difference between street art and vandalism. http://brisbaneentartetekunst12.blogspot.com.au/

So, on the 2nd of August, 2012, I went out into the night and put my artworks up along the beach.
